The Effects of Camomile, Rhatany, Myrrh, Glcyrrhetic acid and their combir ations against the Periodontal Pathogens

Abstract
|
|
|
The antimicrobial effects of Camomile, Rhatany, Myrrh, Glcyrrhetic acid, a -tocopherol acetate, sage oil, Parodontax and new combination which was added Glcyrrhetic acid and a-tocopherol acetate to Parodontax against the periodontal pathogens such as Actinomyces viscosus, Candida albiams, Streptococcus mutans were evaluated with Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (M.I.C.).
The results obtained were as follows:
1. New Combination showed antimicrobial effect against Actinomyces viscosus at lower concentration than Parodontax.
2. New Combination showed antimicrobial effect against Candida albicans at lower concentration than Parodontax.
3. New Combination and Parodontax showed antimicrobial effect against Streptococcus mutans at same concentration.
